The Story Factory:Making the Most of Small World:

The ability to ‘talk a story’ is the critical first step in children becoming successful story writers. Small World resources provide the ideal opportunity for children to bring their ideas to life using concrete objects. They can be used to support the development of characters, create settings and explore plots from the simple to the complex. .During this twilight delegates with look at how to use and enrich their Small World resources effectively to inspire and extend young writers in KS1, and how this links with the challenges of curriculum. We will also consider how technology can be used to bring these stories to life.
